ghost story 1/2

last night i was watching tlc and they had two stories on phenomenal entities that two families encountered in their house. one of the stories was two hours long, it is very rare that they have two hours documentary on tlc.

this story was quite scary. it's about a family of six trying to relocate to a place near the hospital where the elderest son, 14 at the time, was diagnosed with cancer and had six months left to his life. already with the burden on the expenses for the treatment, the family was left with limited budget to rent a house that could fit all six people. eventually the mother found a house that was quite nice and even though it is in a renovating stage, it has already installed the hardwood floor, two large bedrooms upstairs and some more rooms down the basement. furthermore, they found the house was within their budget and so they did everything to get it.
when the parents inspected the house before moving in, they found down at the basement there was a room that had an old fridge, a table cart, some knives, jars, and some weird machines. and at that instance, they realised the house was a funeral home before the renovation. however, the parents were not scared and moved in anyways.

the first sign of when the house was haunted was when the mother sweep the floor and the whole floor became red. the basement is where the two oldest sons slept at night. the oldest son, paul, could clearly hear a low baritone voice calling his name all the time. in addition, the two boys felt annoyed every night as they could clearly see many people walking around in the room where the fridge was. they tried to tell their mother but she never believed them. she thought this was the illusion of the side effort after taking the medication for the cancer of paul. and she thought paul influenced bobby, the younger brother, that there were ghosts. every time she went down to the basement with the boys after their complains, there was nothing. and in one night, the daughter was playing toys in her room, she saw a female entity stood in front of her watching her play. she was scared and shaken and went downstairs to tell her mother which at the end found nothing happened. the mother thought it was the sons playing jokes on their sister.

because they couldn't sleep well and were bothered by entities, the boys found that by turning on the lights they could keep those entities away and so they did that every night. however, at the end of the month when the electricity bill came, their father went mad. getting angry at the sons turned up the lights all night and cranked up the electric bill, he decided to take out all the light bulbs except for one and the brothers were frustrated for their dad didn't believe them. one night, while the boys were sleeping, their sister came down to the basement and turned on and off the swithch for the lights. there were lights on and off, however, there were no lightbulbs in them. the younger brother was so scared but wanted to see what's going on, so he started chasing her from basement to upstairs. at the end, he couldn't catch up with his sister and found she was in bed all night in fact. he became mad because the entities began to take on the form of their family members. and at the same time, paul was frustrated with the voices that called for him all the time and he began to confront with that voice and went into that empty room where there were entities walking around.
