coffee house on last sat night was a success. i was put on table initially as the chairperson when i was not at the first meeting because i was in hk and i wasn't happy about it. i struggled with the idea whether i should screw up the whole thing and make it look bad sending them a message "don't mess with me" or i should make it look really good to show off my ability. but in fact, coffee house was not on my priority list among all my church and other servings. in the end, i didn't participate nor contribute much on the coffee house; i didn't even hold meetings properly. bessie (the minute person) held meetings and did an amazing job designing the decoration for the night, david wrote an interesting script for the skit and it was pretty funny, barry did an awesome job with the food team, and luke organized well with all the new comers and the table sitting plan. the actors, actress, emcees, welcome team leaders, food team people, sound person, speaker, and lighting people all did a wonderful job. what did i do? hmmm.... the only contribution i made for the whole thing was praying - before and after meetings. there were 16 new comers and our fellowship finally shows signs of potential and passion. what the lord did for the night was totally amazing. we couldn't ask for more. for some reason before and after the event, i felt i owned this coffee house even though i didn't do much; but i guess i did more than what i think i did. afterall, it was well organized and everyone had a great time and many new comers came. i was really satisfied.
what did i do... it was all HIS work.
